CMW Global Upgrades to the Flow Mach 200c Waterjet. What Does This Mean for You?

At CMW Global, we have been building on a foundation of continuous improvement since 1976. That commitment means investing in the equipment and technology our customers need, not just to keep pace with the demands of aerospace, defense, naval, pulp and paper, chemical, nuclear, and advanced industrial manufacturing, but to stay ahead of them. Today, we are pleased to announce the latest addition to our precision machining floor: the Flow Mach 200c waterjet cutting system, replacing our previous OMAX 55100. It is a meaningful upgrade, and we want our customers to understand exactly what it means for the work we do together.

What Is the Flow Mach 200c?

The Flow Mach 200c is a purpose-built waterjet cutting platform designed for maximum workspace and flexibility. Its defining feature is a canted bridge design, a structural configuration that sets it apart from conventional open gantry machines by allowing full use of the entire cutting envelope. In practical terms, that means no dead zones, no compromised access at the edges, and greater capability for larger workpieces.

The machine is equipped with the MotoJet X intensifier pump, operating at 60,000 PSI. It features the Pivot+™ cutting head for true 5-axis bevel cutting and taper compensation, and runs the FlowXpert® software suite, a platform built from the ground up for both 2D and 3D waterjet cutting and pathing. Together, these components represent a genuine step forward in what our waterjet operation can accomplish.

What’s New Compared to Our Previous Machine?

Our previous OMAX 55100 was a reliable workhorse, a 2D cantilever-style waterjet that served us well for flat-cutting a wide variety of materials. But our new Flow Mach 200c expands our in-house capabilities in several important ways.

True 5-axis bevel cutting is now available in-house. Our previous OMAX was configured primarily for 2D cutting, while the Mach 200c’s Pivot+™ head gives us integrated multi-axis bevel cutting, taper control, weld prep angles, chamfers, and complex angled profiles with strong accuracy and repeatability.  For customers working with tight-tolerance components destined for aerospace assemblies or naval systems, this is a significant capability addition.

3D cutting and pathing are now possible. The FlowXpert® software suite supports full 3D modeling and cutting paths, not just 2D profile cutting. This opens the door to part geometries that previously required routing work to a third party or relying on secondary operations, both of which added lead time and cost.

Higher operating pressure means better performance on demanding materials. The MotoJet X intensifier pump sustains 60,000 PSI, delivering more consistent cutting performance through the thick, dense exotic alloys like titanium, Inconel, Hastelloy that represent a core part of CMW Global’s work. Intensifier pump technology at this pressure level is better suited to sustained high-pressure cutting than a direct drive system, particularly on materials where cut quality and edge integrity are critical.

The full work envelope is now usable from edge to edge. The canted bridge design eliminates the access constraints from our previous setup, allowing us to take on larger workpieces and use every inch of the cutting table efficiently.

What Does This Mean for CMW Global Customers?

Waterjet has always been a cold cutting process, no heat-affected zones, no mechanical stress introduced into the material, smooth edge quality that minimizes secondary processing. Those fundamentals have not changed. What has changed is the range and complexity of work we can now execute on the same system.

Customers who previously needed bevel cuts or weld prep geometry handled elsewhere can now get that work done in-house at CMW Global within the same quality management system, under the same AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certifications, and with the same traceability and documentation standards our customers in aerospace, defense, and nuclear industries expect. Keeping more operations under one roof reduces handoffs, compresses lead times, and simplifies the supply chain.

For customers working with exotic alloys, the higher sustained pressure of the MotoJet X translates to cleaner cuts, better edge quality, and reduced secondary processing on materials that have historically been the most demanding to work with. Titanium and superalloys like Inconel and Hastelloy respond well to waterjet cutting precisely because there is no thermal input, and the Mach 200c ensures that advantage is delivered with greater consistency and at a higher performance level than before.

The Same Commitment, Better Equipment

Investing in the Flow Mach 200c reflects something CMW Global has always believed: the people and processes matter most, but the right equipment makes them more capable. Our Master Craftsmen and Mechanical Engineers bring decades of experience to every project that comes through our doors. Now they are doing that work on a platform that matches the complexity our customers bring us.

Whether you are machining components for a naval defense system, fabricating parts from titanium or Inconel for an aerospace application, working in the pulp and paper, nuclear, chemical, or mining industries, or moving through a reverse engineering challenge on obsolete equipment, CMW Global has the certifications, the expertise, and now the waterjet technology to support you at a higher level than ever before.
